Thinking about adding a sub and upgrading the front speakers. Did my brother's 90's Lazer back in the day and it sounded really good. Had 5 1/2" mids in the door and a set of 3 1/2" and 1" tweaters in the dash with a 12 in the hatch.

Was thinking of 2 routes, first one would be a removable box/sub amp in the hatch with a single 10" so I can ditch it for track days. Second would be replacing the stock rear speakers with 8" subs..

Anybody got any ideas they can share?

Thanks for the input guys...

Did you cut the door panels t get the 6.5's in the doors?

I'll pass on the amp, I've got a Pioneer GM-X702 amp, pushes 200W continuous bridged with a stiffening cap. Thanks though!

Did you go with the 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 Kappas?

Nice box, and 145 db is impressive. Too bad my hearing can't take that anymore!

I was always mainly sound quality...but I did like the "shock and awe" bass every once in a while when I wanted to screw with somebody! biggthumpup.gif

I think I'm going to go with the removable box/amp combo with a 10" Kicker. I'll have to play with the box to clear the spare since I can't afford to get rid of it.
