I just noticed this morning that my 93 GSX was running about 3/4 hot. Normally, the temp gauge is straight up but when waiting at lights and at the bank drive-thru it went up past 3/4. Once I was able to get it rolling, it came down somewhat but never to the usual 1/2 mark.
The overflow was full. I checked the coolant and all the little balls floated meaning it's good to 228. I've noticed a strange gurgling sound lately too when I shut it off. Any ideas? -------------------- 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX - all options except AT & leather *sold*

It doesn't sound like a fan problem. He said it still never goes down to normal even when driving. Check if the coolant is flowing. Maybe a coolant flush will solve your problem or it could be a thermostat problem.
