Alright fellas,
Everyone talks about this event and most PLAN to go. Now it's time to make it official. I don't have exact times and dollars yet, I'm sure it will be the same as years before though. Who all is planning on bringing something to Vicary Day this year? I for one will be hoping for a new personal best in the Talon this year. Hopefully hanging on with some of the faster domestics, and if Im lucky i would like to show a few of them a set of tail lights. ![]() -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

Awesome day for spectating except it was colder than the forecasted 62 degrees. A terrible day for most of the racers and two in particular.
Black_92 continues to impress me by driving there, turning great numbers and then driving home. My best 1/8 mile time was 8.039 at around 86mph with a 1.713 60 ft. I seen at least one of his that was quicker than that if not more. Good job man! ![]() And yes, all the racers had to run no more than the eighth mile after a horrendous crash over a gaurd rail by an 8 second Mustang! ![]() We intnentionally watched his run because we knew it would be good. Well it was and it wasn't. He had MAD power, pulled the wheels and seemed to lose traction, got out of it, back into it and he was shooting down the track. Near the end he let out of it and BLIPPED the throttle while going nearly 130mph... In the blink of an eye the car turn 90 degrees to the left and shot over the left gaurd rail in a (No $hit) Dukes of Hazzard looking jump with dirt/debri comming off the bottom just like the TV jumps!!!! He landed behind a hill I couldn't see past, then it was just huge plumes of dirt clouds as you heard the engine full boar on, before he came to a rest. The poor guy was a driver for the owner of the car. He missed death on the spot by about 6" I was told because the car was stopped by a light pole in the roof of the car right behind the driver. For about two hours they cut the guy out of the cage and life flighted him to the hospital. The car was mangled to oblivion as you might imagine. The driver was said to be talking and able to move his fingers and toes. WOW! Hope he's ok. ...And I don't want an 8 or 9 second car anymore! A girl went down at the starting line on her crotch rocket later. I didn't see it but seen her laying like a wet rag between her bike and the gaurd rail after ward. They finally got her up and they took her out in the ambulance. Whew! Then about 7-10 cars broke axles or drive shafts. Rear ends were turned to soup. radiators and suspensions were blown out. Corvettes spilling transmissions, Monte Carlos tossing belts and killing engines... It was a bad day for most cars. ![]() -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo
