Just curious if any of you have any tips/hints on an easier way to install an automatic transmission? i am having a heck of a time doing this and ive never had this much trouble installing a manuel trans. I tried to install it tonite but have had nothing but problems so i give it another shot tomorrow night.

QUOTE (black92_tsi_awd @ Aug 31 2007, 06:19 AM) I've always filled the converter with trans fluid before installing it. I'm not sure it's totally necessary to prevent damage when you intially run the trans, but I imagine it makes it easier on the vane pump. good tip.... you are accually supposed to do that.... it prevents running the converter dry until the pump has time to fill it. maybe this should be a thread in the archives for good tech tips. -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!
