The problem with my second gear syncro is getting worse. I have to be super careful shifting to second or else it grinds blink.gif and sometimes it does anyway. who wants to devote sometime to help me (that knows what they are doing). I usually pay in beer ar food, sometimes both (better than peanuts!!!!)
what all am I looking at, can I just replace the one syncro, all the syncro's or am I looking at a whole rebuild????????
whos up for it.

ps. kris, I still need to get that timing looked at (the prob that rised up and slapped me in the ars when I installed the air intake.) wacko.gif so much to maintain on these dsm's

...Ideally you want to see the hash mark on the pulley line up with the 10 degree mark on the lower timing belt cover (right next to the crank pulley). If its not there, all you have to do is loosen the cam angle sensor (CAS, stubby cylindrical looking thing on the passenger side of the head near the throttle body). Then slowly turn the sensor one way or another until the crank pulley hash mark lines up with the 10 degree mark on the lower timing belt cover...

Isn't the timing was supposed to be at 5 degrees BTDC, rather than 10?
