Hey! I just found this site through a link Natedogg had on dsmtalk. I live in Crystal Lake and wondering if there are any meets happening soon. The Chicago club DSM never seems to meet. I'm hoping to have my Talon back tomorrow [new factory clutch
 ] and need somewhere to go to start breaking the clutch in. Anyone live out near here?

Transmission:
Ive actually only broken my transmission once. (This time) I sent it off to Shephard before, when I was doing my clutch and flywheel install so I could get the crappy synchros replaced and have him add any magic that holds his transmissions together. Motor/head: I burnt two valves right after I installed my 3" cat back and advanced the timing! oops. Then I recently burnt a hole in my number 1 piston making a full pull into fifth gear trying to keep Dan behind me. oops again. There's been other minor things, but all in all I'm pretty happy with the durability of these cheap little cars for all the abuse they take. :twisted: I'm just glad that I'm able to do most all of this myself.
