Hey, I'm not complaining about this board at all, but I just think it would be cool to have an off-topic forum. Put jokes and videos of things you come across the internet in there. Well as an example, jeepin.com. They have an awsome off topic section. Well just a thought.

No offense, but my opinion is that there are enough forums out there to post stuff like that on. We do that on here a little anyhow, but to make a section for it seems a bit overrated to me........there is one on CII, however, if you're interested. ph34r.gif biggthumpup.gif

We try to keep things technical here and on the topic of DSM's or cars in general. Like Katie said and as awd4kicks has stated before, if you want off-topic, check out CII. That seems to be what they specialize in over there.

Hey Zacd, I am sorry that we dont have that type of forum, but we try and stay on the tech side of things. We do loose people but if you look at our forum, 95% is rock solid DSM and close car related material. We take great pride in offereng what we do here and marcus does a fine job at that. biggthumpup.gif

Let us know if you have any other questions.

its a 1g n/a 4g63. not only is in non turbo but is an automatic, but hey it is still surprising. i like the fact that it could roast them through second gear. thats probably why my tranny broke, b/c of not letting it cool down after doing that.
mike, you've probably heard of me, some friends said they met you last week. and my friend mike beccue i guess was talkin to you about the crankwalk on 7-bolts. i think you were at his sisters house?

How the hell could you do that? I had a 94 eclipse N/T auto 2.0 and it wouldnt do shit. i tried everything but a reverse drop to get the tires to squeel and i could never do it, well on wet pavement i could, but never dry.

with a stick its pretty easy, i done it in a 3cyl geo metro. My 1.8 is an auto and it definatly doesnt have balls to do it. I didnt think the 2.0 did either. If they were a stick then yes i could have, but with an automatic i dont know how to do it. I tried to just floor it, floor it from a roll, hold the brake and floor it, hold the ebrake and floor it, and no go. I can get a chirp if i crank the wheel all the way in one direction and just floor it, but i dont think that would count.

yeah i was quite surprised, what i would do is drop it down to 1st, power brake it. my rpms would go to about 3 grand, then let off the brake and go thru first, at redline bump it into 2nd and then just about 5500 in 2nd it would get traction. i did this with my old tires, then i got new ones and it wouldnt do it the first attempt, but the second it did. i want to try it with the ebrake on. that car is awsome even though its n/t auto. the exhaust sounds like a v8, and it is stock, but i think thats b/c the manifold has a couple cracks in it. i wish i would have topped it out before it broke. hopefully i will get it running soon so that i can. i have gotten to 110 but backed off.

hmm i guess i never tried hard enough when i did the powerbrake. I actually figured you would defeat the whole idea by using the brake, cause you basically putting more pressure on keeping them from spinning. I would like to try the ebrake, but it wont fully lock the back tires on either car.

I have hit 110 and chickened out at that, but i think the top speed is 135 i believe (or close to it)

well, i guess not power brake like on a rwd vehicle, but mash the brake down, mash the gas down, then let off the brake. i haven't ever pulled the ebrake in that car, but im pretty sure it would hold.

at at 110 i chickened out too, felt like the car lifted up like it was going to fly. i think i've read 138 for tops. but that will vary from car to car

Yeah right Zac, you proly blew out your trany from spining out in my drive way so freakin much and throwing rocks all over the damn place! Oh well yeah its not bad for a Natural Aspirated auto... doesnt compare to my flying pumpkin... but 400hp is a task to achieve with a 4 cyl..(ziiip flame suite on) Ill rephrase... hard to achieve w/ a low budget! like 2,800 for example. NOT trying to upset anyone with this biggthumpup.gif
