Tonight, we celebrate my friends. For the Lord has blessed us with another child from the Heavens. He was once dead, but has risen again. For almost a year now, it has been in poor shape, looking like there was no hope. But now, on this day of great salvation, the holy hand touched the key....and it was good. The holy hand then turned the key, pushed in the clutch with the holy foot and there was a moment of doubt. Had the good Lord blessed us with great care in putting all the pieces together? Or had he left us in the Desert of Despair to rot and die? The holy hand then turned the key again with the holy foot holding the clutch in and then...in one graceful moment of glory, the gates of Heaven opened up and God himself then breathed life into the child....and it was good. The child cried out through it's loud exhaust, rejoicing in the presence of the DSM God. And it was good.

Ok, enough of that crap.
Ryan (Mitsu 77) and I started my car tonight for the first time on the new rebuild. It was a really great feeling to hear my car run for the first time on it's new motor. Everything will be tied up here pretty soon and she'll be streetable within the month. I still have to replace the rear end and make some minor adjustments but other than that the install is done. Pictures are coming tomorrow (would have been here tonight but Walgreens f*cked up)

Exactly. I was grinning ear to ear when I heard it kick over and start on its own. And mind did kinda rumble due to a lack of exhaust after the O2 housing. I honestly just can't quit thinking about how great it feels to have that car running again. I can't count the number of times I cursed that car for being such a pain in the arsh for countless reasons. But now it makes me feel that all that cursing, blood (yes actually blood), sweat, and lots of beers was sooo worth it.

BTW, a huge thanks to Ryan aka Mitsu 77 for all his help throughout this project as well as Chris and Larry at Precision Engineered Engines. They've been very helpful and instrumental in helping me get my car together and I'm sure they will in the future. I'm in the process of getting some vinyl made so that the shop name will be displayed on the rear quarter panels of the car in an effort to promote their business.
