are the fenders and hood the same between eclipses and talons? b/c i've got a red talon that could be a donor of parts for this car, so long as its nothing transmission wise dry.gif .

and, how hard would it be to put the n/a 4g63 i've got in there after the 1.8 blew up? (considering my driving, and the high mileage, i can only expect it to last maybe a week biggrin.gif , my trans only lasted 4 days sad.gif )

the tranny swap would be much easier. To swap motors, all you basically need to change is the ECU and harness, the other motor drops right in. The body panels i believe are the same except the nose and rear end. The difference is the eclipse has the factory ground effects on the side of the car under the door.

There is alot of misc. stuff mounted to the firewall that is different between the two, i imagine all that has to be swapped too.

I figured it would be somewhat difficult to swap the engines, but my car has a huge dent in the rear quarter panel on one side, and the other side the clear coat is peeling off. i guess the fenders also have some fading... and i like the exhaust on my car. so i guess i will continue looking. b/c i would have to get a flywheel and who knows what else to make this trans work w/ my 4g63.
