first off, I REALLY hope you have a logger for all of that. Second, you can mount it where ever you want. It should have enough cord to reach to the glove box or up under the dash or where ever you could ever want it. It might be a bit hard to adjust, but it will still work. It does have to be pluged in though. The car will not run for crap with it unplugged.

ohh k never mind, i just read up more on it, soo -- anyone feel like selling their PDA? smile.gif

and ncgalant, when i asked if i would be able to unplug it when needed, i meant at night or if the parents were going to be around the car, not while running.

u can unplug it, but u have to take the whole casing off and then unplug a tiny wiring harness inside of the control (on the circuit board).. That would become quite a pain in the ass if u ask me... Check out my garage to see where im mounted mine

that looks really cool.. did it come with enough wire to reach up there? how'd you feed the wire down, above the ceiling 'carpet'?

It comes with like 10 feet of wire. Like I said, you can get just about anywhere. I figured you were talking about just for when your parents are around, but wasn't totally sure. In that case, what are you going to do if you ever give them a ride. I would hide it. This also lowers the likelyhood of someone "playing" with it.

run it to the center console. close enough that you can still make adjstments but you can close the lid when you dont need it.

OR scrap the whole idea. get a maf-t and stick that in the engine bay.

I personally agree with Justin. The MAF-T is much easier to hide, and thought by many to be a superior tuning tool. Why go through all the trouble? Everyone should listen to Justin. He's incredible.

great, so i've got a lot more reading to do wacko.gif i never read up on the MAF-T cause i figured i'd just get the S-AFC since i already somewhat know how to use it. right now i've got the injen intake pipe and K&N cone filter.. would that fit on the 3" MAS i'd be needing to get also? i'm guessing you just put the MAF-T somewhere around the fuse box normally?

BWAHAHA. thats right. you should.

heres a quick rundown on the maf-t set up. what the maf-t does is allows you to use a 3" gm mas. Thus, eliminating your 2g mas box. Yes you would need a new filter to fit around the 3"mas. But when you can sell your 2g mas for 75 bucks is pays for itself. The beneft of the maf-t over the S-afc is that you set injector duty cycles according to throttle postion instead of rpm. Essentially you would have Idle, Mid, and WOT. Add all this to the benefit of flowing more air into the turbo and it beats the S-AFC hands down.

Negatives~some will say the Maf-t is to rough around the ends with tuning specifc RPM points. But, with the new version you can adjust in .1 increments. You shoul have no problems with this unless you bought used. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NEWESET VERSION.

i gotta new question about the pocketloggers.. i can get a palm and cable no problem, but my question's about the software -- the 1g is of course for 90-94, and then under OBDII it says 96+ cars.. still compatible with my 95?

ok.. hopefully here's the last stupid question on this thread -- i dont need a pocketlogger to tell me im running rich as hell, i recently gave my car a tune-up, all new fluids, new plugs and plug wires even, and it seems like im running richer and richer (nice black smoke at WOT and a new black rear bumper after a few days mad.gif ) and everything seems to run just great at the moment. so what are a few things i should check out to lean myself out. i suppose i could really up the boost when i get the 16g on biggrin.gif
