so would you suggest buying a used or new translater (can you simply clear the old data and start over)? there are a few on dsmtrader for pretty cheap

some will say the Maf-t is to rough around the ends with tuning specifc RPM points. But, with the new version you can adjust in .1 increments. You shoul have no problems with this unless you bought used. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NEWESET VERSION.

so what are a few things i should check out to lean myself out. i

have you done any of the free mods to get more air flowing in? if not,
vfaq airfilter modification
run 100+ octane race gas in the car it will allow you to handle higher boost levels, which I think should lean out the air/fuel ratio. -someone chime in if i'm wrong here.
if you don't have a boost controller, do the wastegate bypass solenoid mod, it's in section II part 4 waastegate bypass solenoid mod
if you don't know that looks like go to the engine primer.

I'm new here, and stupid, so any information i give you you should probally check out to make sure i don't kill your car. here are some good helpfull usefull nice pretty sexy thoughtfull great wonderfull links to help you in your research.

DSM talk.

I believe so....that is what we have and used it to tune our 95.....not sure if there was anything special we had to do or not though huh.gif

You guys had a pocketlogger? I never knew that...

iowa - You can try turning up the boost to lean it out some, but eventually you'll need some sort of fuel control. Make sure you don't overwork your turbo!!! I think 15-16 psi is about all the stock T-25 can handle efficently. The 16g will be able to put out 20+ psi once you get all your supporting mods in place. You can get a chip for the older versions of the translator to upgrade them I belive. Definately your best bet.

With a 95, you'll almost HAVE to go to pocketlogger.com and get one there. It's kinda expensive, but you're garunteed to get one that works with your car. Plus you get tech support and a warranty. Apparently people have had problems getting some of the other stuff to work on the 2g's in general, and especially the 95's.

Also, if you're running an injen intake, you'll need a different intake pipe to run the GM MAS... I belive the injens are oval to match the 2g MAS, and the GM MAS' are just 3" round. A stock 1g intake pipe will work, or you can see if Kris (akamiami) has any of his 144 intakes still available. (very nice steel intake tube he sells).

i was on pocketlogger.com and the 2gs are under OBDII, but when you click on that, the description says 96+ models, it doesnt say anything specific about the 95s. i might be going with an S-AFC now and just hiding it in the arm rest/console, since im a little short of cash and can find a used S-AFC for 200.

meh I picked up my translator and mas for 200 bucks.

You dont NEED the new version of maf-t. Its just a plus. you could EASILY do that for under 200.
