Hey every one just thought i would tell you that I got the big front mount inercooler on as well as the gm maf and a blitz blow off valve. I will definitly be at cordova with the car. If any one has a lot of experience tuning a gm translator please tell me if i should tune it on the dyno or if it would be good enough to tune it with a data logger. biggrin.gif

No matter what Kris' dumbass says, you can't beat dyno tuning.

that may be true on hondas where the best datalogging you can manage is with a pricey hondata, but here in the land of dsm's and respectable _true_street_performance_vehicles_ it's just as good to tune with a datalogger and wideband.

Go de-tune your own strip machine some more, troll, and leave the fast cars alone.

I didn't know you could get widebands at Lowes? I'm sure you spent $400+ on a real wideband. I said dyno tuning, not Hondata. You can't see hp an tq curves from a datalogger. Go rip some more of your friends off and ghetto fab their cars together bitch!

Now if everyone is done bitching i would like to say i am going to the dyno and i will let you all know how good the car does. I hope it does good but i got caught in the storm and had to drive through like 3 lakes so i hope it did not get water in any important stuff. unsure.gif

30hp/tq is nothing to sneeze at. That car of yours is making good power. I think the guys that are making 300+ hp on a 16g are running cams and raping higher. A guy on the 4g64 board is running his SOHC head still and a big 16g to 260hp. I don't think you want to hear about his 330ft/lbs of torque though cool.gif

The A/F ranged from 11:1 to 12:1. Its at a good safe area for the street. He can tear the shit out of it and be safe. For the track, we might turn the boost up a notch and run some 100 octane.

I'll be sure to check the spark plug gap too.

i do really like the power i am making to the wheels. Of coarse i will always strive to get more, but for now it runs great with no problems so its good considering its a dsm. oh and i think the a/f was 10 not 17 I will look at the sheet and get back to you guys on this though.
