i just put in a Walbro 255 fuel pump and i am haveing troble starting it. it will turn it over a cuple of time and then it will start. what should i do? should i re wire it??

To elaborate on what Kris said, turn the key to the ON position but don't start it/turn it over. When it's in the ON position (just before the start position) you should hear a hummmmmmmmmmmmmm from the fuel pump. That is the sound of it priming the fuel system.

i dont hear it, only time i hear it is when i turn it over and let it sit then i can here it. but when i the key is ON position (just before the start position) i dont hear nothing.

hmm, it should put pressure on the line with the key in the on position. i wonder if the MPI relay controls this. otherwise I'd check the fuel pump relay at a minimum. I guess it's time for you to break out the service manuals and get to diagnostic troubleshooting.

That's kinda strange. I know that the car should prime the system in the on position, but I don't think either of my two cars did that. huh.gif It really threw me off when I was troubleshooting one night. Then again, I didn't have problems with it starting.
