o2 sensor replacement Options

Has anyone used this one from MachV ? I heard that you need to use an dealer only sensor, but from what i read its just as good with alot of added benefits. And its cheaper than the ones they sell at advance auto/autozone.

Do you need to use an OEM knock sensor too?

And finally, if i were to use an ACT clutch, i have read where you need to use a OEM throwout bearing, but i have read also that ACT changed their TOB so its just as good? Any one have a definate answer to that? Thanks

I had that O2 sensor before I switched to wideband. It worked good and its lead resistant.

Yes, use and OEM knock sensor.

I haven't heard whether ACT changed their TOB design or not. Personally, I'd stick with the OEM because I know it works.

I'm using the throw out bearing that ACT sent me, have been using it for 3 years now, and it works just fine.

I don't know about the O2 sensor except that I am using the Bosch one from Advance and it seems to be working fine.

as far as the TOB... When I was using the metal sleeved one that came with the clutch, it was making a lot of noise, but now am using a OEM Mitubishi TOB and it works better

while I'm not challenging gsx here, but, i have personally seen 5+ cars that have had problems with bosch o2 sensors... we won't install them, period, at the shop. oem only.

the tob on the act, i did some research and ran into a lot of argument... so i went tried and true no argument o.e.m. if you are shelling out that much for a new act.... you might as well... i can't remember exactly what the differences were now, but about 6 months ago i ordered a new act from prostreet... it's tob was different, and 'engineerically' discussed as inferior with out testing.

I used the OEM TOB for my clutch job and it works perfect.

As far as the O2 sensor, I'll only use OEM for it. I do believe though that there is a recall for the O2 sensors on the turbo cars. However, I don't think they can do it in the dealership unless your car throws the code for it.

Well i was getting a check engine light from the O2 sensor before i tore into my motor. I figured i may as well fix it now before i finish reassembling my rebuilt motor. The logger isnt reading any volts from it anyway. Well Natedogg, if its a good O2 sensor i may pick one up. Its cheaper than anywhere else that i have found and im assuming it connects right up with the OEM harness.
