Last I heard it is supposed to be cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Which should be good whether for racing if the rain holds off. I'f it does rain we will simply do this race next spring, but I'd rather get one more race in this year.

I'm having some kind of weird boost leak problem. According to the boost leak tester I'm solid, but when I take her out for some test runs, she starts acting like she has a massive boost leak and it sounds like the BOV is activating. 1G BOV referencing atomsphere rather than IC pipe pressure (still activating off vacuum obviously). May be that I can't get my boost leak tester over 10 psi before the damn thing pops off the turbo inlet. Or it may be that even when referencing off the atmosphere the 30+ psi that I'm running is just too much for the 1g BOV.
If I can find the problem and fix it by Sunday, I'll be taking the Talon up. Otherwise, I'll take the Evo up for a few runs anyway. Can't beat on the daily driver too hard. |

Now that sucks HUGE!
I have also run into a snag. Mine is a small problem if someone can help me out though. I now have 500 plus brake in miles on the 2.4. YEAH!!! Oil and filter has been changed and another boost controller made to set the boost level. Durring all this hustle time I found that the coupling reducers for my 3.5" MAF are not going to work. To get me to the race I need to borrow or buy a 3" MAF until I get the correct 3"-3.5" couplings for my MAF. Anyone local? -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

Thanks men! Spy's got me covered on the 3" MAF. (Much appreciated at that)
The 3" MAF is not the optimum answer. Nor is my 14psi waste gate spring. but I will make do with what I can get at this point. Probably better for the new engine anyway. (Let the flogging begin  )Andy - I will have your laptop with me for delivery at SCDC.

I've actually gone a step further than crushing the BOV. That is the whole reference to atomsphere thing I was referring to. Any help will be much appreciated. Missing the SCDC for a couple of wrong MAF hose couplings will completely SUCK. I am so itching for boost it's just sick, especially when you can hear the massive turbo whine hard before I even reach 3K RPM at 1/4 throttle...
