Well, I suppose it's a good thing that you're getting the exhaust manifold situation handled.

Now as far as fuel cut goes, an Eprom ECU is the only thing that will truely fix fuel cut altogether. An SAFC II can delay fuel cut but at some point you're still going to have a problem with it. Get an Eprom ECU, have it socketed and a chip burned for your modifications and request that fuel cut be eliminated.

And furthermore, if the car hits fuel cut on a basically stock setup at low boost, that SAFC isn't going to do you a damn bit of good. Fix the ECU first, then get fuel management.

A basicly stock setup should NEVER fuelcut. A 14b has to be pushed pretty far to hit it and at minimum boost that should never happen. Have you put a logger on it to see what's really going on?

i am running both a chipped ECU from wort and an SAFC. the chip was burned to my injectors, fuel cut delete, and a few other things to get a base tune, and then i use the SAFC to do the fine tuning depending on what boost i am running and the temp.

so i guess my short answer would be BOTH.

for what it is worth when i was still running the 14b i would get fuel cut in the winter with 450's at like 16psi.

and my advise would be to get an SAFC not an SAFCII because that joy stick thing is annoying as all hell and you can tune just fine in the 1000rpm incriments.

How 'bout this: you tell us clearly and concisely exactly what mods your car has. Everything you've bolted, welded or glued to that car needs to be listed in a clear, easy to read form. I don't think I'm alone in saying that it's hard to understand what you have going on with the car when the mods are unknown. Maybe then we can help you.
