After running at the track last Friday night, with a helmet. I decide Sat to take my father in law's old dirt bike (80cc only!) out for some fun. I figure I don't need a helmet or anything. After a couple rounds around the yard, somehow I lay it down. Face first!!! They only reason I know I did it on my head is the road rash on my face...I don't remember a thing, including returning the bike to the shed and walking in the house!! The look on the wife's face and no memory led me to the hospital.... 2 trips to the emergency room, Sat AND Sun for head and neck CT's and the doctors say I'm going to be fine. I've got 5 huge bruises on my legs and a 3" cut in my hand. I've missed a week of work and still have to go to the dentist to repair 2-3 chipped teeth and a cracked molar! Not fun and going to be very expensive. Just a little reminder to everyone that the seemingly innocent activities can bite hard! Watch those kids too. Relatively speaking, it sounds like you came out pretty lucky. All of that and I don't know what I want to do next.
