I don't feel the need to be there right at 9am. So I'm going to suggest that we meet somewhere along I74 at 8am and leave by 8:15. That should put us in Cordova by 10am. I would say meet at the paradice, but I'm not sure that you can get on I74 West from there with construction going on.

AWD DSM, JBone and I met at the Kickapoo Exit Shell station along 74 for the SCDC. Worked pretty well.

I'd like to caravan with you but I'll be going up the day before. The g/f has an aunt that lives there so we're staying with her the night before. I'll be at the track around 10 though. See ya there!

UhOh boys. Looks like the forecast is rain for Sunday. I hope they push this weather back a bit because Saturday's weather would be perfect. 56* and partly cloudy for Sat and a 40% chance of showers on Sunday. Cross your fingers!!!
If anybody want's an early morning forecast FROM the Quad Cities that morning I could probably provide one. Is there a rain date for Vicary day...I always wondered in the past.

I don't know if any of you have been watching but Weather.com pushed the rain back to Monday. Now there's only a 20% chance of precipitation and they didn't even include rain in the forcast, just Cloudy. Woo Hoo 58* and overcast!

I was talking to Ron Kacir in Washburn LAst night. He said if the rain holds out he plans to bring his big Block Vega again. He also said there are a lot of the local heavy weights that are eager to go to this event. You guys remember the stretched out silver Camaro with the bug catcher sticking way out of the hood... Yeah the one that looks like a rocket going down the track. He's planning on making it too.
