The sun shine today is making me crave some moderate weather with a long stretch of dry asphalt to cruise!

I'm getting the feaver, but it will still be a while before we can enjoy the good weather. In the mean time I'll be helping my bro on his custom Harley this weekend in preparation for his spring time fun.

What all are you up to in this cold part of the season? Seems like most are Hibernating from the car thing the way this forum has been dead lately!

I've been in school and sporting the 4x4 truck lately. The Camar-slo hasn't been out from hibernation since the salt hit, not to mention the Opti distributor went out again, which is currently being repaired at no cost to me (woot woot for lifetime warranty!!!). I've been prepping it for sale and thinking about what the next vehicle will be for this year. I'm near dead set on an S-10 for now and then in a year or two I'll be looking at something like or similar to the Cobalt SS Superchargeds.

Right now it's pretty much work, school, sleep, repeat.

Thanks to a warm streak the very first of the month, I was able to finish routing wires for my stereo system. I hooked up my 4 channel to my doors in the Dime. I was also able to make plates to put my components in the dash. Now I just need another warm weekend (or a heated garage) to finish the components.

After that, hopefully I can get this damn alarm installed too. It would be nice to have keyless entry into the truck.

Plans for the summer include paying off the truck, fixing the bumper and painting the tailgate. Maybe, just maybe, if I have the funds, next will come some nice 18" shoes for the dime. And an exhaust that won't have a leak in it.

Turbohcar, I know a guy down here in St. Louis that has a 97 dime ext. cab for sale. With air bags already on it. Shave gate, hard cover on the bed, big ass sunroof, and power windows installed (at least on the driver's side). 4.3L with stick.

Pretty much only have the time and energy to think about what I want to do to the Golfball this summer. Work's been too busy sucking the life out of me.

Trying to spend time with the rugrats (train layout), since I kind of ignore them too much working on the car during the summer!

My task list on the car is stacked.

Unfortunately, it's stacked for the daily driver too. And I'm wrestling ONCE AGAIN with getting another tune. Should have bit it off and done AEM's EMS long ago I guess.

I really want to resolve to beat the hell out of autocross this season and some road racing. I've had my R-compounds way too long - it's embarrasing!

So, basically, get me some warmer garage weather and I'll get back to it. I know it won't be soon enough for spy but he can kiss my ass.

Even though mine is up for sale, I am having some horsepower withdrawals. The Evo is gone, and the Talon has no heat so she stays put in the garage in the winter. If I still have her come spring I'd like to finally get her tuned with a DSMlink. I think a few good hours of dyno tuning are in order. I'd like her to runs 10's half way reliably this year.

As of last night, a set of deals was initiated to more-or-less trade my '46 Ford truck project for a '65 Pro-street Mustang project. I should have have the stang in place of the truck this Sunday! biggthumpup.gif

So I'm hoping for a 300-400HP daily driven Talon by this spring and an all out nostalgic Mustang for drag racing and cruise-ins by next year some time.

Thanks Spy...but you know I've had V8's in my possesion since I was 16 years old. So I'm not really joining anything I have not already been a part of. wink.gif

What I am doing, is lightening the load that I have been demanding of my Talon for a while now. Although I will still drive the Hell out of it, I will put most of the serious drag racing requirements on the new project, and build it for that purpose.

Well, I suppose I should speak up for once in the last six months......

The Bane has been out and about for the last two weeks solid. Still plagued with various problems, but I was pushing it a little none the less. 90-110 MPH runs on a twisty road to work was more than a little fun. Still pussing around on 15 lbs of boost, haven't cranked it up to the necessary 20 yet. Had WAY too much going on to care about touching the thing lately. Maybe this summer will give me a chance to get back to it.

Jbone, thanks for the offer but I'm kinda looking for something a bit more stock. It'll be strictly a daily driver with some wheels and that's it (I'm wanting to put some 16in TT2's on it with some extra money I'm saving). Thanks for the offer though!

Marcus, that looks like a badarse new project!!

Looks like an interesting project Kicks.

One on the guys I work with is a Mustang freak, let me know if you need any particular parts. He may be able to help you out.

Looking to be more involved with DSMC gatherings and racing events this year. Especially since Ive got my ride almost done:

1994 mitsu eclipse GSX
5 speed
fully rebuild motor ( just got done with that about a week ago )
PTE 50 trim , t3/t4
full 3" thermal r&d exhaust
and lots of others

I was pretty much sick of everyone else having all the fun in the summer time so I went all out this winter to make the 07 season a great one!!!! smile.gif

Good job treydawg... I look forward to seeing you out this summer.

and thanks Black92, I may be in touch. One major thing I will be looking for is a stock front clip from a 65 or 66. Pm me if you have any leads. wink.gif

Nice projects...

My search for a shell is still # 1 project, #2 will be putting it together...

I know it sounds a little extreme, but I might be working out a deal for a trade + cash for my EvoIII/560's for a SC61/850cc's.....We'll see

nooooooooice stang!

I'm slowly acquiring the last remaning parts for swapping a newer tail onto my FZR pre-EXUP.

Once wort gets his welding skills brushed up on it will be making bracket time, mounting, and then rewiring, while I acquire the last little bits I need
