Summit Racing has a flowmaster muffler with a 3" inlet and duel 2.5" outlets. Do you think this would be any quieter than the 3" in/out dynomax that's on there now? It's only about $85.

I have heard concerns that the noise baffles in the Flowmaster will not be condusive to turbo flow. However, I think it's the free-est flowing baffled muffler on the market and this is what I'm going to attach to my RRE dual tips fully knowing that I may take it off right after because it doesn't do what I want. It's trial and error if your not going to go with the tried and true straight through racing muffler.

I've never really been happy with the Flowmasters on the Buick.

Whats a muffler? Muffler! We dont need no stinking mufflers. Dont use the Flowmaster the Dynomax has been proven to increase more HP and torque than Flowmaster. Although this test was done on Domestics Camaro I do believe but same premis.

I'm not worried about HP as much as a quiet exhaust. I'm not building a 10 sec car... just don't want the cops giving me sh!t. smile.gif

Same here...I'm not concerned about loosing 5HP to a quieter stock looking muffler. That is as long as this Flowmaster flows as well as it's supposed to. I probably won't know how it sounds until a week before the Drag Challenge (If I'm lucky).

BTW - Go to Winner's Circle...they carry the same products as Summit and usually with a better price to boot.

i have 2 chamber flowmasters on my R/T Dakota and they sound pretty bad ass. the dynoMax mufflers didnt sound much different than stock, but on a four cyl, i dont know, they might not sound too bad, i heard one on the interstate one time on a neon and it didnt sound bad.
