Sorry if this post is in the wrong place or anything but I just joined. I bought a '90 Laser on the cheap with a blown headgasket a couple weeks ago and am looking at putting in the wrench time this weekend.

Since I have no idea when the timing belt was done last either, I was thing about just pulling the motor entirely and putting in stiffened motor mounts. Changing the timing belt. Changing the head gasket. Putting in a balance shaft elimator kit. Am I saving myself time by doing this all at once? I'm a bit leary of the timing belt given this is my first DSM (re: interference engine).

Should I just do all the free mods at the same time as well? (hack air can, honeycomb removal, etc.)?

Any help would be much appreciated.

whoops, would a mod please move this somewhere appropriate please? I have no idea how i put it in the 'For sale' forum. Sorry to muck up the threads.
