1G big rods
2G OEM pistons
2G exhaust manifold/o2 housing
2G tb elbow

All can be had for fairly little $$, and the factory stuff is good for at least 400 hp if tuned correctly. Natedogg runs 1G rods and 2G pistons in his full cage car, and I would speculate he is AT LEAST pushing 400. It is not necessary to spend the big bucks on these cars. The factory parts, when mixed and matched properly, can yield fantastic results. My .02

Make sure if you decide to upgrade your pistons that the 2gs are all that much cheaper. Forged pistons can be had for as low as $400 and will go strait onto 1g rods. 2g pistons have to have the rod opened up to use them. Once you figure in the piston cost and labor, your not really saving much. Its just a thought.

Mitsu 77 can hook you up with an estimate if you want. He's got a machine shop here in Bloomington. The shop is actually in the process of building a 2.3 stroker motor for a customer. Currently we have all those parts you just mentioned (2g and 1g) on hand so whenever you're ready look us up. Also, we usually rebuild the OEM pump (cheaper than buying new and you get the same results) and modify it for higher oil pressure. I just had mine rebuilt so if you want proof of good work come by and see it sometime. Also, grab either a Cometic head gasket or a multi layer copper head gasket, it'll save you work later.

Shop is at the corner of Seminary and Mason in Bloomington. You should be able to find it on Mapquest. Shop number is 828-2161 and the shops name is Precision Engineered Engines. You can also call Ryans cell at 531-7291 and tell him Brett referred you.
