I'm not sure how exactly you would get more boost just by removing some honeycombs on the MAF?

I think there is a bit of confusion. Included in the "free mods" is the removal of the boost restrictor, which does give you a couple xtra psi. Also in the free mods is the removal of the lower honeycombs. They are usually done the day you get the car, but are mutually exclusive mods. They are not related, therefore, to my knowledge, you get no more boost from removing honeycombs. Ask Nate about the blaha mod, he can explain it better than I can.

See what happens when CII is down? A good thread turned to crap. And for the record, Mike, just to clarify... As Justin's car sits, given one good dyno tuning session, it would go far quicker than 12.8. Marcus ran 12.6 on a 14b, and Justin (for now) is on an Evo 3 16g with plenty of supporting mods. On the street he would give you a solid run. Just my opinion, not trying to stir up more shit. You would still beat me by a long shot...for now.

For the record I didn't start anything. I just said that those mods where you wire in a resistor to your IAT or MAF sensor is plain dumb. Justignorant took it upon himself to start shit with me and ASSumed I know nothing about modding DSM's. That was his first mistake. I never said anything about my car being fast or that 12.8 was fast. He make a poke at me and Hondas and I made a poke at him how his car isn't fast anyway. One poke deserves another. Don't start shit if you can't take shit.

I know, Mike. I wasn't saying you were trying to start an argument. I was just trying to let a bit of reality into the situation. With the exception of Darryl, no one on here, to my knowledge has a track only car. I was more trying to point out the street car vs race car without directly saying it. You ask, what has your car run, and most people on here won't know. But if you ask them, can you beat x car, they'll know. For the record, from what I've read, some people have awesome results from the blaha type mods, and some people claim it ruined their car. I'm not willing to take that chance when viable and predictable management options are available. So in that respect I agree. I think Justin was simply asking why you would bash a free mod. And for the record, although a few may know better, most on this board assume you are a Honda-specific person, with no DSM experience, so expect things like that. I run into the reverse all the time. Just because I run my DSM, most people forget I even own a Honda, let alone know anything about them. In reality, I probably know more about Honda's than I do about DSMs. Who knew?

Its cool Moushon. I stated my opinion on the mod and he came back with a lame attack that I drive a Honda and know nothing about DSM's or boost. It had nothing to do with the original topic. I asked how fast his car was to show he doesn't know everything about boost or DSM's either (if he had a 9 or 10 sec DSM, I'd say he did know a lot). And a side note that there are PLENTY of Hondas that are faster than him, so his comments make no sense at all. I made NO comparison between my car and his, thats just what he assumed. Later on he comes back talking shit about my car, the classic comment, "my car has less in it than yours", and calling me names. How childish is that. He fucked up by assuming I know nothing when I probably know more than he does and I doubt he'll have any sort of appology for me.

I don't mean to start any drama, it was brought apon me. I then feel the need to defend myself. Maybe you should tell others not to assume things about other people.

Thanks, but I have plenty experience already. If you want to come over this week and watch while I build my buddy's 4G63 engine back up with new pistons, bearings, ... basically everything, feel free. You can also check out the FMIC setup and intake piping I made for it. Its pretty nice.
