To reach Josh (aka SloPny) call him on his cell phone: 309-696-1062

We are currently updating his add here on DSMCentral to reflect the phone number change.

If i got a spec clutch, would a stage 1 be fine for a basically stock DD, or should i get a stage 2 incase i decide to mod it a little? Do you need an extended slave cylinder rod for a spec clutch? and how hard is it to rebuild the slave cylinder, i think mine leaks. And do I need the factory mitsu TOB or will the one that comes with the clutch work fine?

Would it be cheaper/easier to just order the clutch from the Spec website (309 st1, 359 st2) or can josh beat that price including shipping to my house?

Spy, would it be possible for me to ship my ECU to you since im 2 hours away from peoria? It probably would be cheaper than the gas for me to drive there.

I think im suffering from the clutch pedal bushing problem, and i think i need to have the pedal welded but i lost the link on how to do that, anyone know if right off hand?

I dont think i need a trans rebuild yet, as it never actually made any grinding noises, but more of a zip going into first and reverse, and i think if i fix the play in my clutch pedal it will take care of it for a while

Thanks

I think this is the link your asking for:
http://www.taboospeedshop.com/clutch_pedal_assembly.htm

Problem is, the domain has expired...I'm sure it will be up soon.

Here's what the wayback machine has to say, no pictures though:

I wouldnt' count on that domain coming back up. that human excrement eater closed his shop and ran off with a bunch of customer's money, including a little of mine.

are you talking about Martin from taboospeedshop? He was a VERY big assest to dsmtalk before it went down...you could say he was worshipped on the dsmtalk boards.. ohmy.gif

Whats the full story with him anyways? he didn't seem like the kinda guy that would do that... sad.gif

I've never had to fix my pedal....just had the link saved for when the time come. I'd have to say it would be a pain in the a$$, just adjusting the clutch rod after I installed my ACT 2600 was tough. I imagine removing the clutch pedal would be worse. Might be a little easier to work if you remove the front seat.
