When do you think she will be up and running? I can get you a stock chip with just the injectors burned up. Hopefully the part throttle knock thing died with that block.

With the budget going to hell like it has, I'm shooting for the end of February to start the break-in process. Thanks for the offer NC. Keep in mind I still have your EPROM and mine.

The Manley valves are in at Winner's Circle. I'll be picking them up and taking them to the machine shop early this coming week. biggthumpup.gif

Got word today that I will be able to pick my cylinder head up from the machine shop next Thursday! All new Manley SS valves, new valve seals with fresh seats and guides! biggthumpup.gif

I also ordered a whole new gasket set and a new timing belt from JNZtuning the other night. I couldn't help but pick-up one of there Blingin coolant over flow containers! cool.gif I'm tired of the stock container being zip-tied on to the firewall in all its tacky glory.

JNZ had the best pricing I could find and they even knocked a few dollars off the price of the over-flow. These guys rock!

Hahaha...yep. When you pop off the tie rods from the spindle as much as I do to pull the engine/transmission, they tend to get a little beat even with low mileage!

Good eye biggthumpup.gif

I picked up a set of used HKS 272 cams from Darryl & Susan today. Thank you! The engine is now entirely assembled except for the timing belt and the valve cover.

I should have everything ready to drop in after one more evening of work. If all goes well the talon should hit the road no later than next weekend depending on my schedule.

NCGalant, I'm going to need a base tune for a 2.0 using the 850cc injectors at the higher fuel pressure. I just want to keep it simple for the break-in period. Let me know when you might be able to meet-up some time this week. I know that you said you would help with this tune, but thanks in advance.

BTW - I'm glad that I'm getting all this build out of the way during the crappy weather. That means by the time it warms up I should be ready to rock! biggthumpup.gif

Not a problem, I'll be so happy to throw in a stock chip with just the injectors in there and see no part throttle knock. I can have that ready for you early this week.
