 Loose timing pulley arm?? |

Went to install my new timing belt this weekend and noticed that the tensioner pulley arm that the hyd tensioner presses against has some fore/aft movement (about 1/8")

It should move up and down (around the bolt)
It SHOULD NOT move in and out. -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

Sounds like you're missing the washer that goes between the bolt and the tensioner pulley arm.

The washer is there...the arm must be worn. Figures...
