what did you use for couplers? looks a lot like the lowes plumbing couplers that I blew at Cordova... only took 18psi to pop a 2" slit in the side of one. wacko.gif

yeah, I'd hate to break it to you, but those fernco rubber couplers are not good enough to hold boost pressure in combination with the post-compressor-housing temperatures. They will quickly turn to jelly and slide off, even if you clamp them down very tightly and bead the intercooler pipes.

well since this area sucks ass and no one had any 2.5" silicone couplers and that was all i could get on a short notice. they are a quick fix not meant to be permanent.

not an EVO FMIC. I wouldn't think it would be any harder than putting this one on.

Huge? It's only 7" high...It's also only 3" deep...It is very wide tho, 33" I think...

It fits pretty good, altho I keep having piping issues...I just blew the LICP off completely, redid the piping, and now it blew off again...

Also, the car was overheating and running way too hot for daily driving (220*), so I just threw in a 12" slimline to help

wow, those pipes look fricken clean.... I am not sure how much those little tits on the pipes will help the clamps stay on... too bad they don;t have full beads around like the rest of your piping

chicago DSM.... how did you get that IC to fit with-out trimming your re-enforcement bar???? I had to cut more than an inch off of mine on the back side to allow the IC to slide in behind it

The intercooler was only 7" high, which made it real easy....

With short route piping, I had to do a lot of cutting to the frame part to fit the pipes thru, and because of that was able to cut it low enough so that the core fits directly in between the bottom of the front bumper cover and the bottom the of the front bumper support....

I just had to drill a hole straight into the bumper support....And mine hangs a little low too, unfortunately, so the bottom of the intercooler is a tad lower than the front bumper cover actually....
