It's been a few days. I know most of you don't really care nor go there anymore. But there is SOME value there. A couple of other sites have popped up I've noticed but, dammit, I can't just add another site to a list I don't have time to go through daily now ...

I knew I should have jumped in and found a way to take that site. Oh well... *laughs* There are others more motivated than myself. Now, if we can find those more capable of operating I guess ... *shrugs*

Every time it comes back I'll drop in every once in a while until it becomes a habit - then it pukes in my face again. I wanted to go bitch about the lack of Peoria area auto-x's and some of the decisions car mfr's have made of late - oh well.

i talked with corey about this... like andy said, it is a hardware issue.. corey said he was willing to go fix it, but he isnt gonna pay out of his own pocket to fix it... and i dont think travis cares enough to fix it

the server doesnt belong to travis, it belongs to the nfp. so really all that would need to be done is for the nfp to take the server and just change the name of the site.. pretty simple really. its just if anyone knows who is nfp anymore

well i doubt anyone has records of who all donated.
i think most of the current users would like to have the site back.. so the nfp taking the server and building a new site with the same name but slightly different url would be the best course of action at this point.

otherwise, the members that still care will have to take a collection and buy the hardware needed to fix it and then still be under some bogus rules.. not all are bogus, but some are.

and for those that doubt the integrity of the site if i had bought it from ben instead of travis, i would have just turned over control to the nfp cuz that is where it belonged.

Really, what I don't understand, is why you'd not get this done through a company that professionally supports the hardware and the network connection for it. I know they cost cash but do you want a POS on the cheap or do you want something that rocks ...

What was all of the NFP membership money spent on? Is it still around? Could that be put towards a new card?

I also see no reason why the NFP would pay to fix the server so it can run CII

when half of the board was banned from it by Travis, and the other refuses to go to the site.

travis says it should be back at MTIN, but again, he has no acutal claim to it, its up to the NFP if he can still use it anyways

Just to clarify a bit here. The domain name is registered to one Mr. Jeffrey for another year. After the whole "wrecked car" fiasco it is my impression that Spy might be one of the last people that the site would be offered to.

I was merely saying that if this turns out to be the case that instead of letting the site die I would also be intrigued by the thought of such a purchase. Hence PM me if the sale is available...

So buy the server from the NFP and change the domain name. Keeping the site and content intact. I say go for it!
