For those that do not know, I am now half partner of Slo-Pony Auto Repair and working as the service writer and estimator. This has been quite a little while in the works and there are still some bugs to work out, but the major step has been made.

To comemorate this event I would like to propose that we pick-up where Dan's Halloween party got cancelled. We don't have live music, and we don't require costumes, but we do have a keg of beer and a grill ready to rock! We are not trying to pull anyone away from Tate's party but if you didn't plan on making that one and still wanted to go to a good party, we will be rocking at the shop on 8202 N. University in Peoria, IL.

Lets start at 7PM and end as late as possible!

Congratulations, Marcus. I guess this explains why I am always seeing your car there when I drive by.

On a side note, do you guys do rebuilds of GM FWD transaxles? I have heard all the good things Josh does for the DSM trannies, and I have a GM 5-spd in need of some TLC.

Yes Josh is just as proficient with the manual GM transaxles as he is with the DSM versions Marty.

Excuse my ignorance for I thought Slo Pony Racing was a Mustang Race team. Im a little confused. Please explain what or who Slo Pony is thank you. Either way they or he is lucky to have you working with them.

Ok so Im somewhat correct they are a Mustang group.

They definitely like their fox body Mustangs, but their mechanical abilities are very diverse. In fact one of our mechanics used to work at a GM dealership and specialize in Cadillac major repairs during the week, while he raced his Mustangs on the weekends.

To keep this forum friendly I have to add that their expertize with DSM's is only second to their Mustang experience. Over the past two years there have been a healthy number of DSM repairs and build-ups run through Slo-Pny!

I'm actually looking forward to having him work on my tranny!!

I just might do that. I remember going down their direction on 29 when I had to get my sticker for the Schwan's truck. Just out of curiousity, what would diagnostics(???) cost for someone who had a fire under the hood and needs to know what all is exactly wrong? LOL. I was going to go to the local Mitz dealer since my cuz works there now, but I am still scared of having my ass torn wide open by going to a dealership.
