Alright you guys, i am back on my dsm rebuild, gotten over the thought of getting a grand national, and have decided to throw a "ton" of money back into the black hole , my dsm. I love it to death, never have even thought about selling until now, now i am realizing why i see so many cars on the for sale forum with "new rebuilt motors" with very little mileage, i am just setting up late tonite wondering whats going to happen in the next month, next coming weeks, pouring all of my money and time into a project that has never had any good luck, from jumping timing belts, to spinning bearings, eating turbos, alternators, power steering pumps, all the likes. I am starting to wonder if my damn dsm is just haunted and is destined to never run on the road for more then 3 months straight with no major mishaps, for the past month and half i have been pouring my paychecks into my 300zx payments and my evileagle rebuild and i am just starting to worry, what if the damn turbo has bad seals from setting for so long, what if the damn rod decides to take an early vacation and visit its 16 friends up north, the valves? just a crapload of what ifs? i have decided to totally redo the whole bottom end, bearings, rings and arp everything and even picked up a cheap ($200) NX Nitrous wet kit for a "rainy day" that might never come, i am really just starting to wonder if this is even worth it any more for a car that has never treated me right but i have always given it more attention and money then it maybe deserves... for god sakes i have spent probably twice as much on maintenance then i have upgrades, all for a car that just likes to throw pissy fits and break something new. i have given my baby everything new from a damn awd tranny and transfer case, 3 heads and now its second block, when the hell is this nonsense going to end? I have always just thought, maybe my car was just built by the slow maintence guy at DSM during the afterhours while no one was looking or something........ alright i know everyone else goes through this damn depression state with their own dsms, but how the hell do you get over it? i know it feels good to just lay waste to ls1's and 5.0's but seriously, you feel like crap when you see that guy everyday driving their damn car and hardly ever having any down time, as to you, as a dsm driver have tow truck numbers memorized and have more money into your car then you do your significant other, maybe not all of us do, but i know i do, how do you guys get over this?

Forcus---what's up--long time, NO...uh...Key? rolleyes.gif

Sorry bout the key-thing, I sent that $#^@!~ twice, and got it back both times. Must be the security issues w/ it being in an envelope. I also recently moved, and started a new job so....

But I do have it with me, and will get it to you sometime. Anyway, how is the beast running? 34mpg?? Hmm....
Ever resolve the idling issue? That's a good car for 800 bucks. You can't buy shit for 800 bucks. I've been looking for a 1000 dollar car for my g/f, and nothing but junk to be found. I've been just about every where in west-central illinois, southeast iowa, and northeast missouri---all shit.

I think I was spoiled w/ my $400 pick up of a 1989 Civic Si. Runs perfect. No rust or dents.

Let me know if you know of anything for sale cheap. And you can let me know if you need any VW parts....we are rearranging some shit in the shop and came across a lof of parts...and a 1.8 CIS-E engine.
