ditch the afc for a maf-t. you'll never regret it.

I'd skip the uicp if your gettin a FMIC. cause hard pipes are like 300 total. almost halfway to a fmic.

walbro 255 and an AFPR

If you care about room in your engine bay relocate your battery to the back.

also, what do you have for traction on that car? wheels/tires? all the power is a no go if you can't hook up.

wouldn't the AFC be more acurate than the MAF-T?

Not more accurate, you can tune in smaller increments. Basically, if you want to worry about those 4% in between clicks of the MAFT, pay $200 and buy an AFC. If you look at the prices, $250 and you can get a GM MAF, MAFT, and the 2.x chip. If you go with the SAFC, you are going to spend $200 on the AFC plus what ever it costs for the 2g MAF, air filter, intake pipe. A lot of people run a MAFT and a SAFC.

It just depends on the level at which you want to tune your car. Plus, if you think of it this way, if you're a little too rich and you want to get that f/a ratio down, TURN UP THE BOOST biggrin.gif

From what I've seen in terms of real world performance, I'd go MAF-T everytime.

Less restriction on the intake
Good tuning. New version offers 1% increments I believe.
Good price. Actually cheaper than S-AFC
Can support better numbers on a serious build-up

Just my $0.02

I have a stage 3 chip from dsmchips. You can't really tune fuel with it but it has a lot of other nice features like stutterbox and rev limit increase. You can't beat the value. But you do nead an Eprom ECU to install the chip into.

TUNE THE CAR!!! You can spend all the money you want, and it seems like you have done quite a bit to the car, but tuning is the difference between a mid-13 sec car and a mid 12 sec car.

not to mimmick nate... but i'll add a couple of penny's to that.

I'm a little bit guilty of the same syndrome. Buying a lot of parts, can make it a real pain when get everything in and the car doesn't function properly. Then you have a lot of things to trouble shoot.

go one step at a time, test and tune... my worthless .02

Dyno tuning would be better. There's an AWD dyno just east of St. Louis.

Dyno tuning is king, and it also is more expensive. If you have the cash, it's the best route to go.
